The UK Child Visitor now falls under the ‘Standard Visitor Visa’ category.
Any Applicant who is under the age of 18 years, and who is seeking to enter the UK as a visitor, can apply for a Child Visitor Visa.


To apply for the Child Visitor Visa, the applicant must be able to show that they want to visit the UK for not more than six (6) months and must prove that they can support themselves financially whilst in the UK and have every intention to leave the UK at the end of their visit. Applicant must show that suitable arrangements are in place for his/her travel to the UK, reception, and care in the UK. An applicant who wants to study in the UK for up to six(6) months can also apply under this category.

Child Visitor Visa UK Entitlements

An applicant whose application will be successful can stay in the UK for a maximum period of six (6) months at one visit. Please note during this period, applicants may be allowed multiple entries to the UK.

Child Visitor Visa to a Visa National and Non-Visa National

Applicants who are visa nationals need to apply for a visa before they plan to arrive in the UK, however, non-visa applicants can apply to enter the UK at the port of entry and must satisfy the Immigration Office of their intentions.
